Lysimeters allow for the analysis of soil solution concentration. This data is used for understanding how much fertilizer and salt loads are present in different depths of the soil. Identifying leaching or salt build-up within the root zone provides significant advantage to a grower when needing to maximize crop yield.
ALC’s Source 2 Sync program also includes strategic tissue analysis. This allows data from the soil solution to be correlated to the plant tissue data, resulting in data that can provide critical information for fertilizer application and salt mitigation strategies during the decision-making process.
